The LSU Tigers, headlined by Joe Burrow and Ed Orgeron, should be the No. 1 ranked team Tuesday night in the updated College Football Playoff Rankings.

The Tigers were ranked No. 2 behind Ohio State last Tuesday, but with the thrilling 46-41 win over Alabama, that’s likely to change. The Tigers have now beaten four top 10 teams — Texas, Florida, Auburn and Alabama, and they boast the best resume in college football.

Kirk Herbstreit echoed that sentiment, as he released his new top six teams after Saturday. Herbie has the Tigers ranked No. 1 — jumping his previously top-ranked team Ohio State. The College GameDay analyst dropped Alabama to No. 5 following the loss.

Nos. 1-3 are the easy part, but Herbstreit believes the one-loss Georgia Bulldogs are the fourth best team. Last week’s No. 4 ranked team Penn State lost to Minnesota Saturday 31-26.

Below are Herbstreit’s latest rankings:

My new top 4 after WEEK 11
1-@LSUfootball
2-@OhioStateFB
3-@ClemsonFB
4-@GeorgiaFootball
Next 2@AlabamaFTBL @GopherFootball

Try to rank teams 4-8.
