The Buffalo Bills have been one of the biggest surprises of the NFL this season. On Sunday, they'll host the Denver Broncos with a chance to solidify their spot in the NFL playoff picture even further by moving to 8-3 overall. Buffalo is also 6-3-1 against the spread, and the Bills are 3.5-point favorites in the latest Week 12 NFL odds, but they're going up against a Denver squad that has covered five of its last six games. Should you back the Bills to cover one of the tightest NFL lines of the week?
Elsewhere in the current Week 12 NFL spreads, the Lions are also narrow 3.5-point favorites over the Redskins on the road, and the trends indicate that could be another tough game to pick. Detroit has lost its last five games against the spread, while Washington has failed to cover all but two of its last nine. All of the Week 12 NFL lines are listed below, and SportsLine's advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and predictions you need to make the best Week 12 NFL picks now.
Winning picks from a proven model
The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up over $7,000 for $100 players on its top-rated NFL picks since its inception four years ago. It's on a 92-63 roll on top-rated picks that dates back to 2017, and last season, the model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch for the third year in a row on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 96 percent of CBS Sports office pool players.
Anyone who has followed it has consistently beaten NFL odds and is way up. Now, the computer examined the latest Week 12 NFL odds and lines, simulated every snap, and its Week 12 NFL predictions are in.
Week 12 NFL picks to target
One of the model's strongest NFL picks for Week 12 comes in Sunday's matchup between the Chicago Bears (-6) and New York Giants at Soldier Field. It's a 1 p.m. ET kickoff from the Windy City and neither team has been kind to its fans or backers this season. In fact, Chicago is 4-6 overall and 3-7 against the spread, while New York is 2-8 straight-up and also 3-7 against the number.
However, the Bears' defense will be the most talented unit on the field. Plus, a struggling Bears offense should still be able to move the ball against a Giants defense that has allowed 32 points per game during its six-game losing streak. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (hip) wasn't listed on the Bears' final injury report and should once again start on Sunday.
The model projects that the Bears' defense records three sacks and forces two turnovers by Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones. Chicago limits New York running back Saquon Barkley to just 3.3 yards per carry on the ground and covers in nearly 60 percent of simulations. The Over (40.5) also hits in more than 50 percent of projections.
The model also has made the call against the spread, on the over-under, and on the money line for every other game on the Week 12 NFL schedule. It's also projecting a Super Bowl contender to go down hard, so you need to see its NFL picks before locking in any of your own. Get every pick for every game here.
