Circle Week is officially live at Target, giving shoppers a chance to score thousands of items at a discount. Part of the event is a massive buy two, get one free deal for books--and a shocking number of video game art books, graphic novels, encyclopedias, and other compilations are eligible for the savings. Amazon is also hosting a B2G1 free sale of its own ahead of Prime Day 2024, but you won't find quite as many gaming books. Plus, the especially enticing part of Target's sale is that it includes preorders on upcoming books.

Before diving into all the deals, make sure you sign up for Target Circle. You'll need to be a member to enjoy the B2G1 free sale, but signing up is free and takes just a few minutes. Once that's done, you can add any three eligible items to your cart and the coupon will automatically kick in.

For even more deals, check out our roundups of the best B2G1 free game deals at Target and Amazon. Our Prime Day hub has all of our early Prime Day coverage, including roundups focused on Walmart's massive new sale and Circle Week deals beyond the B2G1 free promotion.

One of the best ways to make use of the event is by preordering upcoming books, as a ton of products arriving later this year are part of the savings. This includes The Art of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (Hardcover) on October 22, The Art of Diablo: Volume 2 (Limited Edition, Hardcover) on November 5, and The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows Deluxe Edition (Hardcover) on November 19. All three of these special-edition hardcovers look awesome, but there are plenty of other interesting books for less that are included, such as Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard by Jason Schreier.

Want something in your hands within the next few days? Then consider The Art of Diablo (Hardcover) for $35 or The Art of Destiny for $37 (down from $50). Beyond art books, you can check out the Bloodborne Graphic Novel Box Set (1-3), which is on sale for $30 (down from $50). You'll also find A Handheld History for $30 (down from $40), which is a comprehensive (and beautiful) history of gaming portables published by Lost in Cult. PlayStation fans can get the brand-new Spider-Man 2 art book in either standard or deluxe edition formats (shown above) for steep discounts in addition to the B2G1 free promotion.
