There are many things that people lead new employees through on their first day. But this five-time World Champion had the weirdest task of all time. The thing that makes this task even weirder is that it was related to Stone Cold Steve Austin. At the time, Austin was not only the biggest superstar at the time, but he was a big reason for the popularity of the Attitude Era. So, WWE valued him above anyone.

At the peak of his career, Austin played a major role in helping WWE turn the tide of the Monday Night Wars against WCW. So, when a former WWE executive saw that he was hurt, the executive asked for the weirdest task of the new hire of the company. More than two decades later, the two WWE legends had a laugh together while narrating the incident.

Hopping on the Steve Austin Show, WWE legend Booker T, talked about his first day at the company. In this interview, Booker also revealed that the stunt hero Bruce Lee inspired his character. He talks about the practice against Austin before his big debut. He tells the audience that in practice Austin got hurt and Bruce Prichard called him up and told Booker T to make up for it.

Then the six-time world champion continued, “I said, ‘What? Who broke what? What are you talking about?’ Then I said, ‘Give me Steve’s number and call him.’ This is my debut. Let me call Steve and apologize for it because that wasn’t my intention.” Then he continued to talk about the way he felt about the whole situation.

But then Prichard told him that he must pack up Austin’s bags as he had been hurt. This is particularly weird as wrestlers tend to be very particular with their gear and luggage, so asking someone else, a new hire, to pick up the bag for Austin was odd to say the least.

After that, Booker reveals that despite his first day in the company, he refused to do as Prichard told him. Austin then adds by saying that throughout his career, he was the only one who had packed or grabbed his bags. Even if Booker T had called Austin, the former WWE Champion would have likely turned down the strange request.

This is such a hilarious story that the two men started laughing out loud. This just goes to show the bond between the two after working together for so long.
