Chinese game developer Game Science on Thursday released a final four minute gameplay trailer for its upcoming action role-playing game Black Myth: Wukong on various social platforms. As of time of writing, the latest trailer has amassed nearly 7.5 million views on Chinese video sharing platform Bilibili. Based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, the video reveals new combat gameplay scenes, including the 72 Transformations of the protagonist Wukong and the debut of the Four Heavenly Kings. In Journey to the West, Wukong is able to adopt various disguises such as a wolf monster and a fire-breathing rat as part of the 72 Transformations. The Four Heavenly Kings are powerful deities who protect the four cardinal directions and are often depicted as guardians of Buddhist teachings in Chinese culture. The game will be released on PS5, Steam, and Epic Games on August 20 as scheduled, with pre-orders now available, the team announced. [TechNode reporting, Game Science]
