Inscryption creator Daniel Mullins Games announced its next title, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, with a trailer at The Game Awards 2023.
Check out the trailer below.
. Mullins' games have a tendency to get pretty meta, and the trailer shows you'll move around in a first-person world and interact with an in-game arcade cabinet that looks sinister, to say the least. That's pretty similar to Inscryption's approach, which was a deck-building card game that was also played in first-person, and in which you could stand up from the table and walk around.
The trailer also showed that voice actor SungWon Cho (God of War: Ragnarok) will play a big role in the game, and is featured in some full-motion video scenes that look to blend reality with the game world.
The trailer for Pony Island 2 ends with a release year, but like everything else, it's a bit weird and ambiguous: the number glitches between 2024, 2025, and 2026, which might mean it'll come out whenever it's ready.
