Short answer
Terrifier is a concrete new reason to check Dead by Daylight. Behaviour's October 28 introduction presents Art the Clown and Sienna Shaw, and its Steam news identifies the 10.3.0 Terrifier player test build. The chapter's Steam store page lists a planned November 24, 2026 release. A test build appearing in October does not mean the finished add-on is already on sale.
What is the Terrifier chapter?
The official introduction describes Art's Bag of Toys power and Sienna's character-specific perks. The store listing also identifies Hartshorne Mall as a new original map. These are publisher descriptions of announced content, not our own gameplay review or a conclusion about competitive balance.
The distinction between a public test and a full release matters when reading clips. A demonstration can show what someone encountered in a particular test build while still being subject to later changes. Dates and build numbers give the clip meaning; stripping them away can make an early impression look like a verdict on the final chapter.
Why is it trending now?
The new character reveal, test notes and future release date supply plausible context for searches. Someone may want to recognize Art's role, understand Sienna's abilities or find out whether the content is available on their platform. The trend snapshot does not prove which of those questions accounts for the increase.
The timing also makes a release-stage misunderstanding easy. Headlines about content being “here” can refer to a test rather than the commercial release. The useful first step is to identify which version the report actually describes. A store page showing a future planned date answers a different question from a player posting test footage.

What people are looking for
Can I buy the finished chapter now? The reviewed Steam listing says it is not yet available and gives November 24 as its planned date. Check the listing for your platform and region when making a purchase decision. We have not completed a transaction or established a worldwide unlock hour.
Do test perk values define the final meta? They are a reference for that test, not a permanent balance promise. Read later patch notes before copying a build guide into a final-release plan. We have not measured win rates or compared the characters in live matches.
Is the base game included? Steam labels this as downloadable content requiring Dead by Daylight. Keep the base game, the add-on and any separate cosmetics distinct when comparing offers. A character trailer is not a complete statement of what every edition includes.
Which information should I save? Record the platform, build and publication date beside an ability explanation. If a later note changes an effect, that small record makes it easier to understand why two accurate descriptions differ. It also helps separate a genuine correction from an older guide being recirculated.
What happens next?
We will check on November 6 for a post-test update, a changed date or a substantive revision to the announced content, and again around the planned launch. Until then, the developer introduction explains the concept, the test notes describe the test, and the store supplies a planned commercial date. Those sources should remain distinct.
